Reigning BTCC champion Jake Hill will compete in the St Mary’s Trophy, presented by Motul, at this year’s Goodwood Revival. Taking place between 12th – 14th September, the iconic two-part race showcases iconic saloon cars from the 1950’s.

The Austin A40, owned and co-driven by Prova founder Richard Postins, has been completely transformed by the GTS Motorsport team. Under the guidance of GTS founder Jim Morris, the A40 was stripped back to a bare shell, with every element of the drivetrain and engine rebuilt. Partnering with Swiftune for engine preparation, the project has brought the A40 to a new standard of performance and reliability, ready to compete at the historic event.

Hill, a 23-time BTCC race winner and 2024 champion, commented: “I’m really looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the Austin A40 in what looks set to be one of the most competitive races of the weekend. The car looks great and I can’t wait to get out there alongside Richard.”

To help accelerate the transition to more sustainable motorsport, the Revival focuses on reuse, repair and refurbishment of classic-era cars, with competitors required to use fuel with a minimum of 70% advanced sustainable components for all races. The principle was first introduced in 2024, making Goodwood Revival the world’s first historic motorsport event to run its races entirely on sustainable fuel.

Jim Morris, founder of GTS Motorsport, continued: “It’s great to be heading down to West Sussex for the Revival with the A40. Jake is a talented driver and we’re hopeful of a competitive run. Swiftune, our engine partners, have been hugely supportive of our efforts with the A40, and we thank Nick Swift and his team for their support.”

Experienced racer and Prova founder Richard Postins added: “We’re thrilled to not only compete at Goodwood Revival in our Austin A40, but to also have such a talented driver as Jake behind the wheel. He’s a special talent and it will be an honour to be his co-driver for the weekend.”

Amongst its broad client base, Prova works with iconic motorsport names including AP Racing, Hewland Engineering and RML Group – three mainstays at the highest levels of motorsport. Entering such historic sporting events like the Goodwood Revival positions Prova as one of the only communications consultancies operating at the frontline of the industries it supports.
